Before submitting the final thesis, the student is required to give a presentation to the Department Research Committee (which should be available to all professors and other research researchers) at the Research Centre/Department. In discussion with the Research Advisory Committee, you might consider incorporating their suggestions and criticisms into the final version of your thesis. The thesis must be accompanied by a statement to that effect from the research center's head.
Prior to submitting their theses for review, graduate students are expected to (2) have at least one (1) research paper published in a refereed journal approved by the UGC and (3) have given at least two (2) paper presentations at conferences/seminars, with evidence of the foregoing in the form of presentation certificates and/or reprints certified by their research supervisor.
An electronic copy in portable document format (pdfl written in a CD with due label) and six hard copies of the abstract of the thesis (no more than 2000 words) must be submitted to the Director of Research by the candidate.
The applicant is required to send four hard copies of the thesis to the Director of Research of the University for evaluation, together with an electronic copy in portable document format (pdf) written on a CD with due label.
The thesis must be double-sided and printed on crown size (26.5x18.5 cm) white paper of acceptable quality. Text should be written in Times New Roman at 12 points, with 1.5 spaces between lines. Word count for the whole thesis, including all appendices and references, must not exceed 80,000 characters.
Along with the Ph.D. application, the applicant must provide a certificate attesting to the originality of the thesis.
Where do I send the final version of my dissertation for my Ph.D.?
After receiving confirmation from the School of Graduate Studies (SGS) that you have fulfilled all necessary conditions, you may submit your final thesis.
Visit Doctoral Thesis Submission Post-Examination Procedures before beginning the submission procedure if you desire to request an embargo on your thesis. When submitting your final draft of your thesis, you will have the option to request an embargo.
In three to four days, you may access your thesis on our website.
It is essential that you consult with the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies before submitting your thesis if you want to postpone publication.

PROOFREADING:
The thesis team double-checks theses for compliance with formatting guidelines, paying special attention to the first few pages and the file names. In order to provide a professional presentation of the work, staff may request revisions to a thesis if they find significant flaws elsewhere.
Prior to submitting the dissertation, each doctoral candidate is required to present an OPEN SEMINAR to the PhD Student's Progress Committee (PSPC) about his or her dissertation research. The Thesis Supervisor(s) will send out an invitation to the seminar one week in advance, and it will be OPEN to everyone in the IIT Indore community. The PhD candidate will provide a draft summary of the dissertation to ALL PSPC members in advance of the OPEN SEMINAR. If the PSPC thinks the comments and recommendations made during the OPEN SEMINAR may help the PhD student enhance the quality of their thesis, they may recommend that the student do so. Prior to submitting the PhD Synopsis and the PhD Thesis, the student's Thesis Supervisor(s) must provide a report on the successful Open Seminar using the official form (Form-PTS 1).
Submission of Doctoral Thesis and Synopsis
After an SUCCESSFUL OPEN SEMINAR, the PhD candidate must hand in the following documents to his or her thesis advisors.
(a) within maximum 15 days from the date of the Open Seminar, FIVE copies of the summary of his/her PhD thesis (both in softcopy and printed form) and the needed 2 | PTS Certificates (Form-PTS 2). The synopsis should be a brief overview of the whole PhD thesis (containing the figures, tables, limited references, and list of publications). Text should be written in 12 point Times News Roman font with 1.5 spacing and the whole document shouldn't exceed 8-12 A4 pages.
The summary's principal purpose is to help the reader decide whether or not the proposed PhD thesis provides sufficient evidence to warrant acceptance for the granting of the PhD degree. Therefore, the candidate's summary should include a clear listing of the contributions coming from the candidate's investigations that have advanced knowledge in the subject of inquiry
