1. Eligibility Criteria



























Requirement Specification
Academic Qualification • M.Sc./M.Tech in Chemistry (or a closely related discipline).
• Minimum 55 % aggregate (57 % for SC/ST/PD).
Qualifying Exam • Valid GATE (Chemistry) or CSIR‑UGC NET score is advantageous (equivalent to MMU entrance).
• Candidates without GATE/NET must appear for the MMU Ph.D. Entrance Test.
English Proficiency Minimum TOEFL iBT 70 or IELTS 6.0 if the medium of prior study was not English (only for overseas candidates).
Work Experience (optional) 1‑2 years of research/industry experience may be considered for direct admission to the research‑only track.

Note: Candidates who have completed a M.Phil. in Chemistry are exempted from the entrance test.
