Award of PhD degree; 

 

The Assessment Committee will make a final recommendation after the defense. The suggestion must have solid backing, and the final call must be made either unanimously or with a large margin of support.
All that matters is the preliminary suggestion and the oral defense, from which the final recommendation will be derived.  
 

The final suggestion should agree with the preliminary evaluation overall, and should include comment on the quality of the oral defense. The average assessment is between two and two and a half pages long. All members of the evaluation panel are required to sign off on the final suggestion.
After the public defense, the Department has two weeks to make a final recommendation to the Faculty.
If the evaluation committee votes unanimously or by a large margin, the doctoral degree may be granted.
If the final suggestion is favorable, it will be sent to the Academic Council for consideration. If there are any concerns, the Academic Council has two weeks to voice them. The Faculty informs the candidate of the granting of the PhD if there are no more objections.
If the author seeks a second evaluation of the thesis within a week after receiving the Assessment Committee's unfavorable recommendation, the Dean may appoint a new Assessment Committee to review the work.
 

Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) diploma, prepared by the PhD School secretariat in both Danish and English. The title of the PhD thesis and the academic discipline in which the degree was earned are included on the certificate. The Dean's signature appears on the certificate. Course completion and environmental change summaries, written in Danish and English, will be included with the certificate. The Rector will be the one to hand out the PhD certificates during the yearly award event.
PhD candidates may request their PhD certificate from the PhD School administration immediately after the conferral of the PhD degree.
 

Documentation for completed components of the PhD Programme; Upon written request, the PhD School secretariat will issue documentation in both Danish and English for components of the PhD Programme that were satisfactorily completed by PhD students who cease their studies before obtaining a PhD degree.

The quality of your doctorate thesis is the primary consideration for receiving a PhD from an Indian university. At first, you'll be submitting your thesis to your department. This may be a far bigger deal in India than it would be anywhere else.
• To win a PhD prize, you must demonstrate excellence relative to other PhD candidates in your department, institution, or area. In most cases, this means coming up with research findings that are much superior to those of the normal PhD student in terms of quality, impact, depth, or originality.
•You need to be nominated for the award, which is normally done by your adviser. Nominations of this kind normally ask for a letter of recommendation detailing your most notable technical achievements and their importance. A research statement is another possible need. The awards committee will never consider you for an award if they are unaware that you even exist.
• The last step is for the awards committee to choose you from among the other nominees. Awards given out by local departments may only garner a few of nominations, while those given out on a global scale may receive hundreds. Assume that the committee will study your thesis and/or additional works in addition to the nomination documents you provide. You can't worry about it since it involves a lot of luck and maybe some political jockeying behind the scenes, both of which are beyond of your control.
