With rare exclusions, a student can only get a PhD as their highest degree. It often comes after a master's degree, however some universities may let students go straight from their bachelor's degree to a PhD. Depending on your grades, expertise, talents, and research abilities, certain universities may also provide you the option to "upgrade" or "fast-track" your master's degree into a PhD.

I believe my PhD dissertation can lead to new areas of research in this area, and I hope to build a successful research career on it. However, I'm also curious in the further growth options offered by this PhD program. I want to work in academia, but I'm also open to other possibilities.

The majority of colleges provide post-doctoral research grants that will pay you to refine your abilities, continue your research, and launch your academic career.

Some jobs require a Master's or PhD and generally pay very well in the private and public sector. You could:
