Master of Social Work (MSW) is a graduate program that prepares students for advanced practice in social work, with a focus on supporting individuals, families, and communities. The curriculum normally lasts 2 years, but part-time and expedited versions are offered, with coursework covering topics like as human behavior, social policy, ethics, and research methodologies. MSW students also participate in fieldwork, which provides real-world experience in a variety of settings including hospitals, schools, government organizations, and non-profits. Graduates of the degree are prepared to address social concerns, advocate for change, and work in a variety of settings, including clinical social work, policy analysis, and community development. Furthermore, an MSW can lead to licensure and professional certifications.
